I learned how to use iMovie!
Ahhhhh, this morning. I got to wake up an hour later than usual, went for a run, and returned to a fresh cup of coffee, my sweet little boy, and my husby who took the liberty of getting up early with Nate and running a few errands. I put Nate down about an hour ago. He fussed a little, didn’t sit up, and was asleep within 15 minutes. I think today should be great. GO NOLES!!!!
So, Nate is asleep now, but it took quite a bit of crying for that to happen. I have a theory. Could it be that Nate is old enough to protest his naps with an emphatic determination that a younger baby isn’t capable of? For example, Nate sits up and crawls around his crib, so he isn’t lying there in the sleeping position. I just hope the neighbors don’t think I’m a terrible mom for letting him cry for such a long time. Please let there be light at the end of this tunnel!!!
The “Best of Tallahassee” readers poll came out today. I guess I don’t have a right to complain as I didn’t participate in it, but regardless, this is my blog and I decided to conduct my own survey.

As a side note, this afternoon’s nap didn’t go very well. Nate cried for about an hour and only slept about thirty minutes. Still- tomorrow could be better!
A couple of weeks ago, we made a spontaneous visit to Panama City Beach to see the Hellers. We went with Dorian and Matt and we had such a great time. We didn’t take nearly as many photos as we should have, but here’s what we did get:
The hotel where Dorian and Matt stayed had an awesome pool, and it was the only time we took out the camera. At least Nate loves the water so it made for some really fun pictures!
Okay, so you can’t really see how adorable Olivia is in the picture, but I think I’ve found Nate a wife. Search over.
On Saturday night, we went to Pier Park to see a concert on the beach. We got a great video of Nate “dancing” to the music. I’ve got to figure out how to post video to the blog. I know I have to put it on Youtube and then do something with that to get it on the blog but I don’t know what. Thoughts?
Little dude cried for about 20 minutes then finally fell asleep. Hopefully this afternoon will be better. So far afternoons have been the worst. Wish me luck!
